Menges Scheffler Architekten plans and realizes projects across a wide range of typologies, from residential buildings and cultural institutions to office buildings, educational facilities, and urban development projects.
In addition to new constructions, a key focus of the firm lies in building within existing structures and dealing with listed (heritage-protected) buildings.
With the goal of creating sustainable, resource-efficient, and future-oriented architecture, Menges Scheffler has been engaged with timber construction for many years—both in new builds and existing structures.
One central area of activity is the vertical extension of existing buildings using modular timber construction methods.
Menges Scheffler Architekten PartG mbB was established in 2016, evolving from the firm Scheffler + Partner Architekten, which was founded in 1985. Since then, more than one hundred building projects have been successfully realized, the majority of which originated from competition wins.
